A Virtual Environment Used To Train The Us Army Is The First Complete Creation In The Metaverse
Share

The United States Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE) is an actual metaverse. It is a virtual environment that allows soldiers to simulate realistic scenarios and train effectively.
The STE includes a network of simulators, augmented reality systems, mobile networks, and military video games.
Using this highly advanced technology, personnel can train without taking part in dangerous missions or spending weeks away from families as they prepare for real tactical action.
The STE allows users to take part in a variety of simulated missions in a wide variety of environments, from special forces to armored units, at any time and from anywhere.
With this platform, militaries can practice mission planning, tactical training, and simulate real-world scenarios virtually without risking their lives. The STE provides users with additional tools such as climate control to make training even more realistic.
It is estimated that STE has provided 1,000 hours of training and education to 1,000 soldiers by the end of 2021 to better prepare them for the complexities and challenges of modern combat.
With the help of the synthetic training environment, the US military will be able to ensure a safer and more efficient future for all its members.
THE MCKINSEY STUDIO
The first pillar that is needed to talk about the Metaverse is the one stated in the McKinsey report:
“It’s probably a few years away from overcoming the obstacles to interoperability.”
In fact, there are hundreds of virtual worlds, with interest in building connections between worlds running on different game engines. An aspect that is missing, and which Mckinsey defines as “interoperability.”
Trade worlds maintain their own servers and hardware, which has led to more isolated metaverses.
For example, the Meta metaverse, the Microsoft metaverse, and the Roblox metaverse – are all under separate development. Beyond desire, interoperability requires a complete overhaul of each simulation’s server architecture.
A true metaverse depends on a new open web architecture, and the military is building this architecture.
SIMULATED WAR IN THE METAVERSE: A COMPLETE MULTI-WORLD EXPERIENCE

Here are the characteristics of a virtual that seems to be ahead of the classic metaverses like The Sandbox, Meta, and Decentraland…
Each of these simulations uses different software and hardware and runs on different server architectures.
– Each simulation comes from the same web architecture and is not bound to specific projects. For example, a tank developed for a particular exercise no longer lives in that single simulation but on the web, where administrators can seamlessly mine it for any number of different simulation environments.
– Since multi-domain operations (MDO) are the reality of modern warfare, branch offices have less need for silo training.
– Any successful simulation must practice orchestrating all these moving parts.
– If a platoon of ground troops requires air support, a soldier’s combat simulator and a pilot’s flight simulator must have the same “out the window” view, as well as the same method of communication.
– The pilot and ground troops must also connect to a Joint Terminal Air Control (JTAC) simulator that shares the same environmental experience.
Here is what Robert Siegfried, chairman of NATO’s development and simulation group, said:
– “What we want to do is connect national synthetic training systems so that we can train together every day.”
– This level of day-to-day compatibility requires all platforms and devices to connect to the same source, regardless of differences in simulation hardware and technology.
In short, military organizations need metaverse-level interoperability to train for the realities of modern warfare.
While commercial metaverses are built to make money, this makes them dependent on consumer interest.
THE BEST METAVERSES DEVELOPED SO FAR
Among these are The Sandbox, Decentraland, and Meta.
E Ancora Roblox, Second Life, Horizon Worlds, e Minecraft.
Here I will briefly discuss these mentioned virtual worlds.
– The Sandbox: a user-generated content metaverse based on Ethereum.
– Decentraland: is a decentralized and persistent metaverse, built on Ethereum.
– Meta: is an innovative 3D social network developed by Microsoft.
– Roblox: Known as the world’s largest online gaming platform, this metaverse has tons of users every month.
– Second Life: It was the first major commercial metaverse to offer realistic user experience and interactions.
– Horizon Worlds: This metaverse offers MMORPG-style multiplayer games with user-created content and different environments for online adventures.
– Minecraft: This is also a popular open-world game developed by Microsoft, which allows users to build, explore, and compete with other users on a multitude of globally distributed servers.
WHAT WILL THE METAVERSE LOOK LIKE IN THE FUTURE?

As military organizations develop myriad simulation environments, commercial metaverses are becoming more sophisticated.
The metaverse under construction promises great entertainment and new educational and economic opportunities for millions of people.
Developers are working on integrating them with augmented reality, virtual reality, and deep learning to create increasingly realistic immersive experiences.
We hope that in the near future we will have metaverses with even deeper stories, interactive gameplay, and richer content created specifically by millions of fans!
In other words, metaverses mean the evolution of online entertainment to a whole new level!
NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO INVEST MONEY
Metaverses offer new opportunities to invest money, both commercially and personally.
There are many people who started creating content within a metaverse by selling their products and services.
You can also purchase digital assets such as terrain or artifacts in most metaverses, so you can secure future revenue by re-selling those assets.
Some of these metaverses are also starting to allow users to leverage cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to make in-game transactions.
This is another great opportunity that metaverses offer to earn money!
Intellectual property management (IPM) platforms that support and protect online artists and creators are worth considering as an investment.
These platforms, like True Fans, are designed to help creators monetize their content through a vast network of marketplaces engaging millions of fans around the world.
